Hello, I’m MJ.

I believe that we hold magic in our hair. It’s truly amazing how the right haircut can boost our confidence and help us step into our power!

I also love to color hair, lived in blonde or seamless highlights are probably my favorite. My goal is to make everything as low maintenance and beautiful as possible.

Music has always been a major factor for my inspiration. I love to play around with styles and I listen to a wide variety of music. Roxy Music, Sly and the family stone, David Bowie and the Melvin’s are just a few of my favorites. So you can imagine how much fun I have with styling.

I started my career 15 years ago in Austin Texas. I met one of my mentors who is based out of Orange County while attending a class in Chicago and that’s how I ended up in Southern California. 6 years ago I moved to the bay to work at Edo, then I opened my own tiny salon in a vintage store in Oakland. Life has brought me back to Southern California and I’m so happy to be here working with such a talented team!
