After 10 years of owning busy Stag Hair Parlor on Melrose Ave, Lauren and Danny Chaidez are so thrilled to open their doors in Eagle Rock.
As long time residents of NELA they have been craving a simple day-to-day without the hustle and bustle of West Hollywood. Over the last 3 years they have devoted themselves to educating and empowering stylists with a cleaner, safer approach to hairdressing by taking their business low toxic, organic, and creating LA’s first Clean Air Salon. Stag Hair Parlor has become a hub for clean education for both traveling and local stylists. Hosting live hair cutting events and advanced classes as well as opening up their space to like minded pop-up artists. Cultivating a strong community and connecting with other stylists and folks who share their love for clean beauty practices both online and in person.
When COVID-19 hit earlier this year the beauty industry was devastated. Danny and Lauren believe that owning a small business and employing people is one of their greatest accomplishments and truly feel is it a privilege to help support, mentor, and grow stylists in their career. Taking this pandemic (and science) very seriously, they decided to expand their business into a gorgeous historical building tucked away at the foothills of Glenoaks Canyon in sleepy Eagle Rock.
With 1200sf of space they have created a salon that is permanently built for social distancing to fully embrace the “new norm” and keep our stylists and our community safe. High power air filtration systems and air purifiers help circulate and cleanse the air and the over 13ft high ceilings create an openness that is the perfect compliment to their minimal vintage-modern-aesthetic.
We believe in the power of plants. The earth can offering healing properties. We are so grateful to plant our roots and start spreading the magic of FLOWER POWER.
Welcome to Feverfew.
